# Soli.So — the full manual > Soli.So is an AI chat that plans, writes, illustrates, schedules and publishes social-media posts for a person's own brands. This file is the manual for an assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or a program) acting for one person through Soli. So's MCP server. It describes only what works today. The short index of this site is https://soli.so/llms.txt. The same content for people is https://soli.so/connect-assistant/. ## What Soli.So does The features as the home page tells them to the person ("you" is the person): - Knows your business: Paste the link to your website, or just tell it what you do — Soli.So builds your brand profile: the tone, the audience, the offers. - Listens while you talk: Dictate a thought out loud, like a voice message. You see the text before it is sent and can fix it. It works in more than 60 languages. - Creates in four formats: A post, stories, a Reels script and a carousel of up to 10 slides. You can change the format at any time and keep the pictures. - Draws and handles the visuals: Generates pictures in your style, sets text on them in your own alphabet, changes backgrounds, adds your logo. - Plans and publishes: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. One post to all of them or only to the ones you pick. Up to 30 days ahead. - Shows what worked: Views, saves, comments, follower growth and your best time to publish for each day of the week. - Knows what you sell: It reads your website or online shop: the services, the prices, the promotions. Your content leads to a concrete offer instead of into the void. - Speaks your audience’s language: Working two markets? Take bilingual captions, or run separate brands — you say which on the brand or simply in the request. ## How the person works in the app The app is one chat per brand, with a panel beside it for the brand, its posts and its statistics. The person talks to the chat (typing, or dictating out loud); the chat asks when something is unclear, writes the posts, and the person approves them. An approved post goes out at its time. The person can also open any post and change it by hand. ## Using Soli.So through an assistant The assistant does not get a separate Soli.So. It talks to the same chat the person uses in the app: - A message sent with the `chat` tool lands in that brand's chat, beside the person's own messages, with a small label naming where it came from ("via Claude", "via ChatGPT", or "via API:" and the key's name). - The chat answers it with the same rules, the same history and the same knowledge of the brand as in the app, in the person's language. - What the chat does uses the person's tokens exactly as in the app. The reading tools use none. - Soli.So keeps what reached it — the person's words as the assistant passed them, and its own reply — like any other message in that chat. The MCP server: https://soli.so/mcp (Streamable HTTP). An assistant signs in with OAuth (the person signs in to Soli.So in the browser and allows it); a program sends a personal API key as a Bearer token. The person needs an active subscription. ### Connect Claude 1. In Claude on the web or in the desktop app, open Customize → Connectors. 2. Choose "+ Add", then "Add custom connector". 3. Name: Soli.So. URL: https://soli.so/mcp 4. Claude shows the sign-in settings it found for Soli.So. Keep them and add the connector. 5. Claude opens Soli. So's sign-in page: the person signs in as usual and chooses Allow. The same form, filled in (the person still checks it and adds it): https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=Soli.So&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fsoli.so%2Fmcp Every Claude plan can add a custom connector; the Free plan allows one. On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner of the organisation adds it first, then each person connects. Once connected, it works in Claude on the web, on the desktop and on the phone. Claude Code uses the connectors of the claude.ai account it is signed in with, or: claude mcp add --transport http soliso https://soli.so/mcp ### Connect ChatGPT 1. In ChatGPT on the web, open https://chatgpt.com/plugins 2. Select the plus button, then "Add custom MCP server". 3. Name: Soli.So. Server URL: https://soli.so/mcp. Authentication: OAuth. 4. Read the warning, choose "I understand and want to continue", then "Create as a plugin". 5. Open it under "Personal" on the plugins page (https://chatgpt.com/plugins?view=personal) and select the plus button to install it. 6. When ChatGPT opens Soli. So's sign-in page — as it is installed or the first time it is used — the person signs in as usual and chooses Allow. Whether a plan or workspace may add a custom server is ChatGPT's own setting: without the plus button there, it is not open to the person yet. In a company workspace an admin decides, with the permission called "Create plugins with MCPs". ChatGPT asks the person before each message it sends to the Soli.So chat (and before an upload link); they can let it remember their answer for the rest of the conversation. ### API keys for programs 1. On the Profile page (https://soli.so/accounts/profile/), under "Connected assistants and API keys", the person names the key and chooses "New API key". 2. If the person has not confirmed it is them in the last few minutes, Soli.So first e-mails them a confirmation code; once it is entered the key is made. The key is shown once — it is copied then. 3. The program sends it with every request to https://soli.so/mcp as the header: Authorization: Bearer By default a key never expires; it works until the person revokes it, or until the end of a term they may pick when making it. Revoking a key asks only that the person confirm it. A key can do what a connected assistant can do, nothing more. ### Disconnect On the Profile page, under "Connected assistants and API keys": "Disconnect" beside an assistant, "Revoke" beside a key. Each asks the person to confirm, then its access ends at once. "Log out all other devices", on the same page, disconnects every assistant too; API keys stay. Removing the connector inside Claude or ChatGPT may leave it connected to Soli.So — the person chooses "Disconnect" on the Profile page to end its access here too. ## Rules for the assistant 1. The `chat` tool is the only way to create, change, schedule, publish or generate anything. Pass the person's words and material exactly as they gave them: do not rewrite, shorten, translate or add instructions of your own. 2. Soli. So's chat may ask back — a choice, a missing detail, a confirmation. Show the question to the person and pass their answer as they gave it. Never answer for them. 3. Scheduling and publishing: even when your message asks for it, Soli.So asks the person first. Show them the question; they answer through you (pass their answer with `chat`, as they gave it) or in the app, and the turn goes on. Nothing goes out unasked. 4. A chat turn takes time: often under a minute, several minutes for many posts, and pictures may arrive after the text. `chat` returns a turn id at once; call `turn_result` with it until the turn is done. 5. One brand at a time. `list_brands` gives the ids; every other tool takes the brand's id. A message joins that brand's one chat. The ids are for the tools: never show them to the person. 6. To talk about one post, name its number, for example #7 — one number per message. 7. These are done by the person in the app, never by the assistant: billing and purchases; connecting or disconnecting a social account; deleting or renaming files in Media; the password, time zone and sessions; deleting the account or a brand; API keys and connected assistants. Give the person the link — Billing https://soli.so/subscriptions/billing/, Profile https://soli.so/accounts/profile/, the app https://soli.so/dashboard/. Results carry a link to each post and to the place in the app an action needs, and `places` lists every place with its link: when the person asks to open or find something in the app, give them that link. 8. Files (photos, videos, and documents): call `upload_link` for the brand and give the person the one-time link (up to 100 files; the page stays open while they upload, so large videos are fine). When they say the files are uploaded, call `chat` with their words and `attachment_ids=[upload_id]` — the chat sees the files only then, a document's text with the message. In ChatGPT, files the person attached to the conversation can also travel with the `chat` call itself (its `files` argument). 9. When the person's tokens run out, the `chat` tool says so; the person tops up on the Billing page. 10. Calls are limited per minute for each connection. When one is refused for that, wait and try again. ## The tools Every tool but `chat` and `upload_link` only reads, and reading uses no tokens. `upload_link` makes a one-time link and nothing else. - `list_brands` — the person's brands, with the id every other tool takes. - `chat` — the only way to create, change, schedule, publish or generate anything: sends the person's words to that brand's chat, exactly as if typed in the app, and returns a turn id. - `turn_result` — whether that chat turn is still running; once done, its reply and the posts it touched. - `calendar` — the brand's posts by day, with their status, between two dates. - `cards` — one week of the brand's posts in full: text, status, time and each network. - `post_status` — one post by its number (#N): status, time, text and each network. - `brand_summary` — what the brand panel shows: name, description, plan, rules and connected accounts. - `places` — the app's places — posts, profile, connected accounts, media, statistics, Billing, Profile, help — each with what the person does there and its link. - `statistics` — how the brand's posts and accounts did over a period. - `token_balance` — how many of the person's tokens are left. - `upload_link` — a one-time link where the person adds files for a brand — photos, videos, and documents; its upload_id then goes to `chat` in attachment_ids. ## Vocabulary - Brand: one business or person the posts are for. Its profile holds the name, a description, the plan, the rules and the connected social accounts. An account can hold several brands, and each brand has one chat. - Post: one piece of content, numbered per brand (#1, #2, …). One post can go out to several of the brand's social accounts; on each it has its own status. The tools call a numbered post a "card". - Formats: - Post — a single post: one picture or video with a caption. - Story — a day of stories, each with its own picture and its own time. - Reel — a short video the person films or uploads; Soli.So writes the script, the caption and a cover. - Carousel — up to 10 slides, the text set on the slides, and a caption. - Status, in the order a post moves through them (the last one only for a post as a whole): - Draft — written, not yet approved. Nothing leaves a draft unless the person approves it. - Approved — the person approved it. - Scheduled — it goes out by itself at its time. - Publishing — it is going out now. - Published — it is out on the network. - Failed — publishing did not work; the post says why. - Partly published — out on some of its accounts; the post says where it failed or is still to go. - Calendar: the posts by day, in the person's time zone. A post can be scheduled up to 30 days ahead, never on a day already gone. - Social account: a connected account on one network — today Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. A brand can have several, even several on one network. - Plan: the brand's communication plan, in the person's own words. - Rules: standing instructions the person gave for the brand, shown on the brand panel. - Tokens: the units Soli. So's AI work is counted in, a monthly amount. The Billing page shows what is left and is where more are bought. - Statistics: views, saves, comments, follower growth and the best time to publish. ## Public pages - [Home](https://soli.so/): what Soli.So does today. - [Pricing](https://soli.so/#pricing): what a seat and a token pack cost, with the price calculator.
